Climate and land:
Sunflower can be cultivated in Kharif, Rabi, and Zaid in three seasons. A dry climate is required at the time of ripening. Sunflower can be cultivated in all types of irrigated lands except acidic and alkaline soils but loamy land is considered the best.

Species:
There are mainly two types of species found in it. One is common or complex species, marden and sun are found in it. The other hybrid species are found in agribee sunfarm.

Farm preparation:
In case of lack of moisture obtained during Zaid season in preparation of field, the field should be plowed by plowing to stay safe

Time of sowing:
The best time for sowing sunflowers in Zaid is the second fortnight of February. At this time, when sown, the crop ripens at the end of May and is ready by the first week of June. And in case of loss of seeds, sowing should be done at a depth of 4 to 5 cm behind the plow in the lines. Line to line distance should be kept 45 cm and plant to plant distance should be 15 to 20 cm.

Seed quantity:
Seed quantity varies, such as a package or common species require 12 to 15 kg seed per hectare and hybrid species need 5 to 6 kg seed per hectare if seed deposition quality is less than 70%. Sowing should be done by increasing the quantity of seed. Seed should be treated with 2 to 2.5 grams of Theram per kg of seed before sowing. Should be done in the Zaid season.

Fertilizer application:
General fertilizers should be applied only on the basis of a soil test. However, 80 kg of nitrogen, 60 kg of phosphorus, and 40 kg of potash per hectare is sufficient. Special care should be taken in this. The remaining amount of nitrogen should be given in the form of tryphosid 25 or 30 days after sowing. 250 to 300 quintals of compost manure or compost manure have been found beneficial while preparing the field.

Irrigation time:
The first irrigation should be done with light or sprinkler 20 to 25 days after sowing. Later irrigation should be continued at intervals of 10 to 15 days as required. A total of 5 or 6 irrigations are required. So that the plants do not fall to the ground because when the grains fall, the weight of the sunflower flower on the plant is so much that it can fall due to deep irrigation.

Weeding:
After 20 to 25 days of sowing, after the first irrigation, it is very important to do weeding after the oat comes, it also controls the weeds. Spraying at the rate within 2-3 days of sowing does not result in the accumulation of weeds.

The amount of soil:
The sunflower flower is very large, so there is a risk of dropping the plant, so it is very important to apply 10 to 15 cm high soil on the plants after top dressing of nitrogen so that the plants do not fall.

The act of anesthesia:
Sunflower is a fertilized crop in which fertilization is very necessary. Flowers, after flowering, by wearing gloves in hand or by taking a furry cloth, by turning the head of the crop gently on the flowers, the action of anesthesia is done, this action should be done between 7 to 8 in the morning.

Crop protection:
There are many types of pests in sunflower, such as termites, green hoppers, dusky bugs, etc. Many types of chemicals can also be used to control them. Methyl Odimentan 1 liter 25 EC or Fenblerate.

Harvesting and Threshing:
When the sunflower seeds become hard, they should be collected after harvesting the rinds or after harvesting the flowers and they should be dried in the shade, they should not be kept in piles, after this the seeds should be removed by beating with a stick, along with the use of sunflower thresher.

Storage:

Seeds should be dried well after release. Seed should not contain more than 8 to 10% moisture. Oil should be removed from seeds within 3 months, otherwise the oil gets bitter, that is, it can be stored under ecology.
