Shevari Seeds (Sesbania Sesban) 250 grams

Description:
1) Shevari is used as the best fodder for Goat, Sheep, and other milk animals and also improves the nitrogen level of the soil.
2) It is a fast-growing leguminous multipurpose plant. The leaves and tender branches of Shevri are a good source of Protein (20-25%)
3) Shevri is used in the grazing system and as a source of cut and carry fodder. It has high digestibility among ruminants, Shevri establishes quickly and grows rapidly.
4) Shevri is used as a good windbreaker and provides shade and support for other plant species

Land Preparation:
1) Plough 2-3 times with an iron plough to obtain good tilth, Apply and spread 12-15 tonn/acre of FYM or compost, Form ridges and furrows 50 cm apart using ridger and irrigation channels across furrows.
2) Apply NPK fertilizer as per soil test recommendations as far as possible. If the soil testing is not done, follow the blanket recommendations of 25;40;20 kg NPK/ha. Apply a full dose of NPK basally before sowing

Sowing Method:
Row to Row Distance- 3 feet
Plant to Plant Distance- 2 or 3 feet

Seed Rate:
1 Kg seeds use for 3-4 guntha (3000-4000 square feet) for 1 acre 10-12 kgs seeds are required

Water Management:
Irrigate immediately after sowing and life irrigation on the 3^rd day. Then once in 10 days depending on soil type. (Irrigation depends on soil water holding ability)

Weed Management: Hoeing and weeding are given whenever necessary

Harvesting:
First cutting 100-120 days after sowing, It can be cut when it is 5-6 feet high for more branches, and cutting frequency is usually 5 times a year

Fodder Yield:
Green fodder yield is 20-25 tons/acre/year
